Motivation: Eigth actions of the 2009 work plan have been implemented and validated. They need to be phased with the last version of NEMO, checked with NVTK, and incorporated to the trunk together with the documentation.

Motivation: Unconsistent bottom stress in 2d and 3d modes. From BOM code. Explicit bottom stress in barotropic equations/implicit in baroclinic equations ....
Status :Ready. Need to iterate with Gurvan with respect to recent implementation of explicit bottom friction. comit: Mid 2010

Motivation:Add Logarithmic bottom friction for tidal applications

MERCATOR.7 — Simple solar penetration scheme using KPAR
Motivation: Introduce a two bands solar attenuation scheme (Rochford et al, JGR 2001), simpler and cheaper than 4 bands one. The scheme uses climatological KPAR attenuation coefficient in order to take into account the spatial variation of the light penetration in the ocean.

MERCATOR.8 — ECUME bulk formulae
Motivation: Ability for NEMO to use another bulk formulation for heat, humidity and momentum at the air/sea interface based on multi-campaigns in situ measurements.
