The 11-layer hydrology works technically but it kills or cripples on many of the tested FLUXNET sites the vegetation (w/o any nutrient effects).

1. active the new hydrology scheme

To activate the 11-layer hydrology you have to in PARAM/run.def:

HYDROL_CWRR = y

and in sechiba.card:

NEWHYDROL=y

2. tell the model that has to deal with new input files

we use USDA for soil texture and the Zobler (default) file for soil color (which increases the risk of having inconsistent soil properties / is inefficient )

in PARAM/run.def:

SOILTYPE_CLASSIF=usda

SOILCLASS_FILE=soils_param_usda.nc
SOILALB_FILE=soils_param.nc

add in COMP/sechiba.card:

            (/ccc/cont003/home/dsm/p529goll/ORC-CNP_input/soils_param_usda_new.nc, soils_param_usda.nc), \
