0. WARNING (revision r3731)

The 11-layer hydrology works technically, but it is not recommended to use. The routine for nitrogen dynamics is not able to handle the layers correctly. NV is working on that; his developments will be taken over when he is done.

1. active the new hydrology scheme

To activate the 11-layer hydrology you have to in PARAM/run.def:

HYDROL_CWRR = y

and in sechiba.card:

NEWHYDROL=y

2. tell the model that has to deal with new input files

we use USDA for soil texture and the Zobler (default) file for soil color (which increases the risk of having inconsistent soil properties / is inefficient )

in PARAM/run.def:

SOILTYPE_CLASSIF=usda

SOILCLASS_FILE=soils_param_usda.nc
SOILALB_FILE=soils_param.nc

add in COMP/sechiba.card:

            (/ccc/cont003/home/dsm/p529goll/ORC-CNP_input/soils_param_usda_new.nc, soils_param_usda.nc), \
