+First keep in mind that to apply this procedure : it is compulsory thet only the interpolation weights used for OASIS differ.
+All the other boundary conditions and forcings should be the same : bathymetry, icesheet, aerosols, solar forcings, etc...
+
+Sometimes, you may want to extend a simulation using MOSAIC weights but run with MOSAIX weights instead.

+It is mostly relevant for long simulations at equilibrium (for instance deeptime simulations). The improved interpolation schemes used in MOSAIX result in a better conservation of some quantities. One of the desirable effects it can have is
+a reduction sea surface height drifting which is very desirable when trying to simulate paleoclimates.
