"Low phosphorus availability decreases susceptibility of tropical primary productivity to droughts" by Daniel S. GOLL, Emilie JOETZJER, Mengtian HUANG, and Philippe CIAIS in Geophysical Research Letters as manuscript 2018GL077736 << Reference to be added as soon as the revised manuscript is accepted >>.

Abstract

In respect to Goll et al. 2017 the following major changes were introduced: We exchanged the original 2-layer hydrological bucket scheme in \citet{Goll2017b} with a 11-layer hydrological scheme which was shown to better reproduce evapotranspiration for sub-basins of the Amazon with marked dry season. We further account for increased soil resistance to evaporation when the top layers of the soil are dry. We exchanged the original formulation of phosphorus sorption which assumes a fixed fraction of labile phosphorus being dissolved in soil solution with a more realistic Freundlich Isotherm which is parameterized based on a compilation of isotopic dilution data (n=379).
